Redesign Series - Post 3 - Update to Reflect a Contemporary Style

This is the third post in a series of four.  In keeping with the contemporary theme and adding some color we went with a beautiful faux finish in the powder room.  Have you ever been to someone's beautiful home and gone into the powder room to wonder what happened?   Decorating this room is just as important as the others and needs attention.  (sorry about the missing light bulb)This client had painted and hung art, but why not make the room itself a piece of art.  I had my wonderful faux painter come in and work her magic.  This contrasting diamond pattern is beautiful.  This is the kind of thing that makes people "ooh and aah" when they walk into a room.  We also changed out the mirror, faucet, etc. to chrome  and the lighting to elegant crystals to go with the rest of the house.

I didn't really do their powder room justice with the after shots...I'll have to go back to get more pictures and update this post.  However, people now say "ooh and aah" when they walk in.Happy Decorating!
